Dear Centennial Families,
As you may have noticed, Mr. Cornacchione has been out since the start of school. He has had to take an unexpected and unplanned leave of absence to care for a family member.
He is expected to return for Semester 2 in January.
During this absence we have been utilizing substitutes and we’ve been trying to secure a long term teacher. We’ve run into some obstacles during this time and had a candidate fall through. We’ve since reposted the position and are hoping to have someone more permanent in place in the coming weeks. Our amazing science team (Ms. Kervan, Ms. Le, and Mr. Espuga) have been working diligently to support our substitute teachers to ensure they have relevant and updated lessons for Mr. Cornacchione’s classes.
I can assure you that our goal is to provide our students with the support needed so they continue to learn, grow, and perform.
I’ll be at Back to School Night on Thursday evening and I’d be happy to answer any questions then. In the meantime, if you know anyone who would be interested in the position, please have them reach out to me! We have an amazing science community in Boulder and would love to connect with them.
