While divorce is such a delicate subject dealing with the issue of
divorce and separation can be devastating to all parties involved. If
you do not have children then that will help lighten the load of your
domestic disputes, but if you do have children it makes the matter
more complicated to experience and deal with. I do not condone it, but
sometimes and unfortunately it's necessary due to the current domestic
laws that protect our legal rights. The bible is very clear on the
subject of divorce and Jesus gave an excellent reason why people do
not stay married. He simply stated it's because of the hardness of our
hearts. This is the real reason why people get divorced. We choose not
to submit to God's will and we also have problems with forgiving
people who have hurt us. Divorce is a messy thing and I do not wish it
on anyone.
I've been through two of them myself and know from first hand
experience there's a process of healing you have to go through before
you can move on with your life. Let God heal you, ask God for
forgiveness, learn how to forgive yourself first; and then step out on
faith knowing you have been forgiven. Your life will be restored in
such a way that you will allow the Holy Spirit to minister and lead
you in every area of your life. Do not let divorce cripple you or hold
you hostage into thinking you cannot be used by God. That's the trick
of the enemy whether it's the devil or the suggestions he may put in
your mind from time to time. I want you to know that God is able to do
anything but fail.
Though you may fall, the bible teaches that a righteous man gets back
up. Proverbs 24:16. While I know this is such a sensitive topic this
is very personal to me; If you are happily married then great; but if
you are going through the challenges of family separation and
contemplating divorce then I want to encourage you to proceed with
caution and a lot of prayer.
It's no joke and it's a serious issue that happens to even good people
such as yourself. The consequences are insurmountable meaning you will
go through the process of pain with emotion scars that could last a
lifetime. Hopefully, you will do what I've suggested above and get
yourself back on the right track toward the healing process. Check out
these scripture references and share your feedback on the issues. I
don't want to debate scripture; I just want you to realize you can go
on with your life and do what God has called you to do. I encourage
you to be strengthen as you go through this drama in your life. Romans
8:28, Romans 12:18, Matthew 19:1-9, Ephesians 5:21, Matthew 6:14, 15,
I John 1:9.
