Plot Summary
Dimpy Singh (Madalasa Sharma) approaches Samrat Tilakdhari (Rajeev Khandelwal), a private investigator, with a strange case. Her father Mahendra Pratap Singh (Girish Karnad), a wealthy and powerful man, has been experiencing deteriorating health and strange behavior. His garden has been ruined for reasons that appear natural but are not known; leading horticulturists have examined the fading plants but they have not been able to identify the probable reason. His favorite horse has also died; once again the cause of death remains a mystery. Dimpy suspects that someone is trying to harm her father and requests Samrat to investigate the matter.
Samrat, along with his assistant Chakradhar Pandey (Gopal Dutt), arrives at Dimpy's mansion in Shimla. He meets her family members and friends, who are all potential suspects in his eyes. He also meets Sanjana (Shreya Narayan), a journalist who is writing a biography on Mahendra Pratap Singh. Samrat starts his investigation by examining the clues and interrogating the suspects. He soon discovers that there is more to the case than meets the eye. He finds out that Mahendra Pratap Singh has a dark past involving a murder and a betrayal. He also learns that someone is trying to expose his secrets and ruin his reputation. Samrat realizes that he is dealing with a clever and ruthless adversary who will stop at nothing to achieve his or her goals.
