I would like to add a new file extension for the LISP mode.
Specifically, ".il" and ".ils", which are used by Cadence SKILL, a
very popular application domain specific LISP dialect.

I saw this discussion:
http://groups.google.com/group/cusp-development/browse_thread/thread/856870ec4915a764/6691970cc6fd854c

However, any changes I make to the XML file seem to have no effect.
I added new extensions and removed existing extensions from the XML
file, but after I restart eclipse there is no change in behavior.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Johannes

Try running "eclipse -clean". I don't know if it will help, but there
may be a caching issue going on.

Actually, I was able to do this just by associating .ils files with the LISP editor in eclipse.
No need to modify the plugin.

Thanks,
Johannes
