In the File Manager, got to 'Android', then open the folder 'data', in this, open the file for BitTorrent, which in my case is 'com.bittorrent.client'. Open that, open 'files', open 'Download', and Ta-da! Your downloaded files should be here!

I have a freshly formated SDCard in my Samsung Galaxy S4 that was formatted using Menu>Settings>Storage>Format SD Card. I then create a folder on the SD Card and connect it to my computer by scanning the QT Code. I get the error on my S4 "Don't have permissions to write to selected folder".

1.3 forces user to select folder on ExtSD card in one, designated by google, that is the solution for 1.3. We are looking for ways to overcome Google's limitation and allow backing up ANY folder on Ext SD card.

It would be way easier to implement some sort of security manager as the core of the OS, which would provide the user with the option of allowing selected applications to have full access to SD card OR simply format the SD card under EXT instead of FAT-16 (does anyone use the SD cards to physically transfer the data between the Android and Windows devices, anyway??).

Why do you need to move them to PC? You can connect your ExtSD to PC and move files on the SD card. Moving files on a single partition is rather quick, as no actual move is done, just file table adjusted.

Am I correct that we only have permission to write to the folder "/Android/data/com.bittorrent.sync" but not subfolders of that folder? I tried to create a sync folder on my Android phone, and I get no error when I select "/Android/data/com.bittorrent.sync" as the folder. But I get the "You don't have permission to write to the selected folder" error when I choose "/Android/data/com.bittorrent.sync/music". Really?

I get the "You don't have permission to write to the selected folder" error when I choose "/Android/data/com.bittorrent.sync/music". Really?...I'm surprised this is not a bigger problem for more people. This was the only post I found with my problem when I searched Google.

I have fixed this issue by rooting my samsung galaxy grand prime and downloading an app from play store called sdcard kitkat fix this will fix this issue if any one doesnt want to root his phone i dont know how to fix without rooting search on youtube for sdcard kitkat if you dont understand

Is there a better android client for syncthing? The one I downloaded from FDroid is not that pretty. It was hard work adding a folder on Android. I did several trial and error and finally I was able to sync. Is there a tutorial on how to use this thing on Android?
