I am now 26 and had spinal fusion surgery back in 1997. I found out
when I went in for my school physical and between then and my first
doctors appointment my curves grew so much that they got me an
appointment with Shriner's childrens hospital. At that appointment
they told me that if I didn't get this surgery I would die by the time
I turned 18 and then they informed me there was a chance they could
paralyze me during the surgery. A lot for a 7th grader to take in
during one appointment. But with the help of family and friends I
made it through just fine. Then when I was in high school had to
endure a total of 12 weeks on crutches my senior year because of
bunions. Gotta love genetics. But even with my bad back I have given
birth to 2 amazing boys...the second weighed 10.5 when he came out.

Thank you for your words of encouragement for your Curvy "sisters."
You are certainly a power of example!
