to Curvy Girls (of Long Island) Scoliosis Support Group
Hey everyone! I thought it'd be fun to keep you guys posted while I'm
here in Wisconsin. First of all, the staff here is amazing. They are
so nice and very helpful when it comes to understanding your
scoliosis. The day started off by me getting asked questions about
what type of activities I like to do. Due to the fact that every curve
is different, they need to know what activities each individual does.
They give you exercises that work around your activities, so your body
won't continue to collapse into your curves.
Then I was tested by Beth of what my strength/flexibility are.
Afterwards, I was being educated alll about my curves and discovered
that I don't have two curves, but three! And because I have three, I
need to learn five steps to keeping my body in alignment (for those
that have two curves, you only need to know three). Each step is quite
simple, if I say so myself. As of now, I left off by learning
breathing techniques, and I'm eager to learn more tomorrow.
