Hello,
I saw on Teen Nick about Leah and her startup of Curvy Girls and my mouth dropped. I was so impressed and excited as it something I have wanted to do as well. I battled Scoliosis from 6th grade-11th grade and was braced all through that time in hopes my curve would improve as I grew (I was 4 years behind in growth from being 3 months premature as well.) Well come to find out my curve got to 110 degrees (one of the worst they had ever seen!) I finally had to have surgery the summer before my senior year of high school. They didn't think they could even get my curve down to 50% of what it was at. By the grace of God, I am at 41 degrees! I am doing great, but still have occasional pain. However, no one else understands the pain, the hurt, the brace, the feeling of being alone, and the changes that can come along though with surgery and support of of friends. I am inquiring because I would love to start my own Curvy Girls group in San Diego, CA. I would love to know how to get started, what to do, how to network the group, etc. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Thank you,
Stephanie
