Curvy teachers/classes in Boston?

Hello my curvy yoga friends!

I am delighted to share with you that we are just finishing up our first ever

Gentle Yoga - Plus Size Training - Retreat

at the historic Feathered Pipe Ranch in Montana.

One more day to go!  It is a small group 15-16 of us, made up of plus size teachers, smaller size teachers, older women brand new to yoga, and one dear man who was dragged along by his wife.

This Yoga Retreat Center is one of the oldest in the United States, owned by a mystical wonderful woman - India Supera - who spent many years in India studying with Sia Baba.  Her Center is known for bringing in teachers from all traditions, and it's goal is to turn students into leaders.

It's the famous names and the great teachers of yoga:  Eric Shiffman, Rodney Yee, Judith Lasater, Lilias Folan - that teach here each year.  This year I was given the great honor of bringing my work here, and I am so humbled by the beauty of the land, the spirit of all the teachers who have come before us, and the way India is receiving our group.  She has been ill with cancer for the past two years, and this is the first time she has participated in yoga.  She was barely able to get down to the floor when she began with us, and now she is so excited that she is feeling and walking better, and so excited that we have "gentled" yoga for the rest of the world.

To be in the presence of other beautiful large women who see their own beauty is beyond wonderful, and to know that the message of who you are - right now - in this body - just as it is today - is already divine - must be taken out into our world.

I have been on this path of teaching the plus size and health challenged for many many years, and our time is now coming...our presence is being made known.  We are all doing such a great service - for ourselves, each other and the world.

Let us never be afraid to let our light shine!
