This product is equipped with an audio CD checking function that checks the playback quality of the audio CD being played and displays it at one of four levels (A to D). If the quality level is poor (C or D), the function displays methods for dealing with the issues, including changing the unit settings. You can choose from Full Mode, which checks all data for selected song, and Quick Mode, which checks data in a short period of time.
When read errors caused by scratches or fingerprints occur when importing (ripping) audio CDs, using this function allows for automatic detection of the disc state, adjustment of the read method using an original algorithm, and then re-reading of the disc. This minimizes error data interpolation. The algorithm utilized in PureRead 4+ is also used in RealTime PureRead, reducing the incidence of data interpolation in real time and playing back audio CDs with the original sound data.
*Not all discs or all portions of discs may be playable if they are too damaged.
This product utilizes new low-noise electrolytic capacitors. Paired with the same low-resistance flat cable as in previous models, the result is further improvement in conduction performance and reduction of noise in recording and playback signals. Additionally, anti-vibration cushions and rubber reduce vibration when the disc rotates.
This product features a unique honeycomb structure that increases the rigidity of the housing and minimizes unnecessary vibration. It also commutes airflow generated within the housing by the rotation of the disc, circulating it effectively to alleviate the temperature increase in the pickup and disc surface that occurs when the disc is rotated for extended periods or at high speed.
Disc Resonance Stabilizer utilizes airflow from disc rotation to reduce disc vibration and increase writing accuracy. High speed disc rotation causes disc warping due to resonant vibration. This results in unstable writing quality, especially in the outer areas. The Disc Resonance Stabilizer, designed projection on the top chassis, reduces such errors. By narrowing the interspace between the disc and the top panel, the air flow caused by the high rotation presses and prevents the disc from warping, thereby reducing reading and writing errors. With this feature, stable operation is maintained by handling the three patterns of disc resonant vibration that occur during operation.
Furthermore, the position of the dust-resisting and sound-dampening pad has been adjusted to boost the air-tightness of the dedicated front bezel and help create a quiet product. Pioneer's multifaceted noise-reduction design makes quiet and durable operation possible.
The belt used for the tray loading part has been improved to reduce the effect of dust and dirt on the tray loading operation. In our test, resistance to the impact of dust and dirt on tray loading is about 1.8 times that of the previous model.
*XL media (TL / QL) is not supported. Additionally, for some discs it may not be possible to obtain satisfactory writing quality.
*A write strategy is a set of parameters that enables an optical disc drive to write on a specific type of blank media according to its optimum specifications.
Ultra HD Blu-ray offers 4K resolution as well as richer color tones, for more realistic images.
*Playback of Ultra HD Blu-ray requires a CPU that supports Intel Software Guard Extensions (Intel SGX) technology. Intel SGX has been removed from Intel 11th generation and newer CPUs, and support for SGX may be removed on new versions of Intel drivers or utility programs such as Intel SGX and Intel Management Engine drivers and firmware in the future. Such changes could cause these platforms to lose support for Ultra HD Blu-ray movie disc playback.
For information on other PC environment requirements, download the Ultra HD Blu-ray Advisor Tool to your PC, and check. _e/product-e/ibs/eula.php

The region code for the drive can be set only five times (including the initial setting). The region code selected with the fifth setting will be locked as the final region code. Accordingly, take care when changing this code. DVD discs that do not have a region code set can be played on players with any region code setting.
* Meeting minimum system requirements does not guarantee operation as other system characteristics may impact performance. Also, system requirements may differ depending on the OS or applications used (for example, some applications may require greater processing power). Please consult with software or OS providers regarding any questions about the OS or applications.
One thing you need to know, since MoviePlus is a legacy product and no longer supported a new installation is no longer fully functional. Serif has turned off the unlock sever for licensed codecs specifically MP4, VOB. Unfortunately, I have to assume that when we purchased the product we did not get a license which is a real problem with me. For me this is BS!!!
As a side note, I suggested to Serif that they should resurrect MoviePlus under the Affinity brand. There response in essence was ' not going to happen anytime soon '. My understanding the reason for this is the original development team left the company.
I've been video editing and authoring for more than 20 years. Over this time period I've downloaded free and purchased many programs. The freebees can be useful for really basic editing but typically there limitations are limiting. Also, most of the them, I've found their user interface (UI) to be non-intuitive and at times clumsy.
Purchasing video software also presents use challenges. I suggest that anyone wanting to replace MoviePlus do a search for reviews of editing software. There are reviews by familiar sites comparing programs. Visit a few off them to see if there is a consensus for a particular program in your price range.
(to the other poster... IMO....Davinci is not that hardware demanding. But benefits crazily even from a medium range CPU card. An integrated GPU is no way with it. I wouldn't either edit video with a laptop, but that's me)
If Davinci is too much complex (ie, the user is looking for a less professional solution, simpler) I'd totally go with Vegas. Really advanced for intermediate users, yet very easy to learn and handle. I used it every day at my last company, and is really nice software. I'd have preferred Premiere like at other places, or Davinci, but was offered only middle-low range video apps (happened at a bunch of companies).
Another one, not my cup of tea, but WAY cheaper (Davinci Resolve's free version is more than enough and much more powerful) a lot of people looking for easier and less professional video editors, Cyberlink's one tends to be a preference for many( I'd choose Vegas over it any day, though). I made entire video game intros at a company with it, better said, a much older and crappier version of it. Despite the subscription model, they have perpetual licenses, purchase. As the other two video editors have.
It depends on what each individual wants to achieve. But if choosing the right range for the planned usage, can't go wrong with any of the three. Davinci Resolve is imo the most robust choice, even the free version. Ordered below from more pro to less:
I just purchased Corel Video Studio Ultimate, and it closely mirrors my precious MoviePlus X6, in terms of the user interface. I still have MoviePlus installed but when I had to buy a new laptop, the codes for importing MOV files died with the hard drive. Now to use it, I have to convert every file to WMV to be able to edit it in MoviePlus. Which takes time and time is money. If it's a short file, I would use MoviePlus. I've tried, (with trail versions) a lot of the top 10 video editors and NONE come close to MoviePlus X6. It crashes a bit now, for some reason, but I love it so I'm very patient with it. Listen up Affinity. I bought DrawPlusX5 , PhotoPlus X6 Publisher X8. and WebPlus when I found Serif and always loved getting email from them with the "New Deal of The Month!" I now have Affinity Publisher and waited for that one while Designer and Photo came out first. And I have all intentions of purchasing Photo and Designer soon.
You may not be aware that there is an option to export/import unlock codes. The unlock codes are exported to a file using the extension ( .mfu ). Go to Tools / Options / Advanced / Manage Unlock Codes. If you know someone with a full installation may want to contact them.
Use LumaFusion on my iPad Pro and it is abundant with features..and they, like Affinity Devs, constantly work on and add more to the features to keep it a top-notch movie production studio for any type of style. One time low cost purchase like Affinity too.
