Good afternoon, I’m writing on behalf of 150 Tables Across Colorado, a statewide movement to gather, connect, and build community through shared meals, in celebration of Colorado’s 150th anniversary. 150 Tables is an initiative of Longer Tables, the organization that brought together 3,400 attendees for a shared meal at the Mile Long Table in Denver last July.

We hope you will consider sharing this information with your neighborhood org members to encourage organizations/chambers/individuals/schools to host a table in their community for 150 Tables Across Colorado.

Vail Mountain School in Eagle County recently held the first of the 150 Tables on Friday, May 16, photo attached. A group of 140 students and teachers sat down at a single table for a shared meal on campus to celebrate the school’s unique culture and to offer an opportunity for its students to demonstrate leadership skills.

Who: Any Coloradan, non-profit organization, company, chamber, city, or neighborhood group is invited to register as a Lead Organizer. 150 Tables is an initiative of Longer Tables, the organization that brought together 3,400 attendees for a shared meal at the Mile Long Table in Denver last July.

Organizations such as Breckenridge Tourism, City of Arvada, City of Eagle, City of Georgetown, City of Wheat Ridge, and Tuff’s Ranch, among others, have signed up to host a table as part of 150 Tables Across Colorado.

Why: Neighbors gather, stories are shared, and relationships are formed over the universal language of food. By organizing a table, individuals, groups, organizations, or cities join a meaningful network: 150+ tables uniting communities across Colorado.

For those planning an event or celebration in honor of Colorado's 150th anniversary, hosting a 150 Table serves a powerful way to build community and foster belonging.
