Construction Notice: Sloan's Lake Park Playground and Tennis Courts

Dear Sloan’s Lake neighbors and visitors to Sloan’s Lake Park,
Construction of the south playground, tennis courts, and picnic facilities along 17th Street will begin the week after Labor Day. The playground will be fully replaced with a community preferred design. The tennis courts will be removed and replaced to include both tennis and pickleball. Landscape improvements, picnicking opportunities, and accessibility upgrades will also be implemented near these new amenities.
The project should be completed by Fall 2022. During construction, access to the area will be limited, including parking near the playground and courts and smaller pedestrian routes to the playground, parking lots, and courts. The primary hard surface trail that follows the lake will remain open for the majority of construction.
