Job Summary
The Senior Business Analyst – Accounting Solutions will support and monitor source systems and related accounting processes across multiple financial and insurance product lines. This role will partner closely with Product Accounting, VPP Insurance, Cash Control, Lockbox Operations, Dealer Products, and external vendors to ensure accurate financial transaction processing and accounting compliance.
The ideal candidate will possess a blend of business analysis, accounting systems knowledge, and technical expertise. The analyst will perform financial validations, reconciliations, system configuration support, defect investigation, and process improvement activities. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional technical and business teams within Agile/Scrum environments and participation in enterprise-level accounting and systems integration initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Systems Administration & Configuration
Administer, configure, and monitor accounting source systems and related applications.
Support new entity setup, accounting module configuration, and month-end close activities.
Ensure accurate transaction processing, accounting calculations, and reconciliation processes.
Financial Data Validation & Reconciliation
Validate and reconcile financial and commercial transaction data across multiple systems and counterparties.
Investigate discrepancies and resolve accounting or transaction-related issues.
Support cash settlements, lockbox processing, and earnings calculations.
Business & Technical Collaboration
Collaborate with Product Accounting, Insurance, Dealer Products, and external vendors to identify and implement accounting solutions.
Work with development, DevOps, and cloud engineering teams on system enhancements and integrations.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, backlog discussions, testing, and deployment activities.
API & Cloud Integration Support
Support API-based integrations between accounting platforms and enterprise applications.
Work with AWS cloud services and related technical environments.
Assist with system monitoring, troubleshooting, and application support activities.
Testing, Compliance & Documentation
Prepare and maintain configuration, testing, approval, and compliance documentation.
Support UAT, defect tracking, root cause analysis, and production issue resolution.
Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit standards, and compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications
3–5 years of Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst experience.
Experience working with accounting systems, financial applications, or insurance platforms.
Knowledge of financial reconciliation, accounting processes, and transaction processing.
Hands-on experience with:
APIs / REST APIs
AWS Services
DevOps / CI-CD environments
Agile / Scrum methodologies
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across technical and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Snowflake and Python.
Exposure to AI-enabled automation or analytics solutions.
Insurance or Financial Services industry experience.
Familiarity with system integrations and enterprise accounting platforms.
