There has been a rash of broken windows on 26th St between Stout & Champa recently. 

To lessen the chance of your car window being smashed, DO NOT leave anything visible in your vehicle.  Thieves do not know your backpack is empty, or contains dirty gym clothes, until they break your window and rifle through your belongings.  

If this happens to you please report it to 311 even though DPD is not going to investigate.  The City tracks crime stats.  If neighbors don't report car or garage break ins, bicycle thefts, etc they'll think there is no crime in Curtis Park.
