Get a Free Tree Planted on Your StreetWith spring upon us, it’s the perfect opportunity to add shade and greenery to your street! Denver Parks and Recreation and the Denver Office of the City Forester are now accepting applications for free trees. And better yet, they will plant the tree for you.Â
Who can apply (and where trees are planted)
Anybody living in the City and County of Denver Trees are planted in the public right-of-way
Why it matters
By requesting a free tree, you're supporting Denver's climate resilience. Trees:
Cool our neighborhoods Reduce the urban heat island effect Improve air quality.ÂThis program is part of a city initiative to expand Denver's urban tree canopy for a greener, more resilient city.ÂApplications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
