Colleagues and partners,
As you know, CPD is working on updates to our zoning code related to landscaping in an effort to create opportunities to increase and promote a more climate resilient city. The Denver Resilient Landscapes project is focused on updating landscape rules for new development, but we’re also providing information and resources for those who proactively wish to make changes to their existing landscaping. Climate resilient landscapes are designed to use less water, survive during times of drought, help to reduce heat in the city, and support pollinators, among many other benefits.
To support this work, CPD is hosting the Denver Resilient Landscapes Symposium on Saturday, April 25 at the Confluence Theater on the CSU Spur Campus. Attendees can stop by between 10 a.m. and noon to get resources including rebates, free native seeds, and expert advice to help transform their landscapes. Attendees will also have the chance to provide feedback on draft recommendations for landscaping on new development, including new tree preservation requirements and turfgrass limitations.
We recently sent out an email with lots of information about the symposium. We would love your support in sharing this information with your networks! Please use the content below and the attached graphics. If you need additional content or graphics, please let me know.
Thanks!
Courtney
