Dear Friends, Neighbors, and Pool Supporters,

You are warmly invited to join with community to discuss the future of our community pool.

(This event is Organized by a diverse alliance of dedicated community members representing a range of perspectives).

•Date: September 10, 2025

• Time: 6-8pm

• Location: 2565 Curtis Street (The    Armory)

•The city proposes a smaller lap pool and separate leisure pool, but many community members advocate for a full-size pool and a leisure pool.

Denver Parks and Recreation has proposed to replace the current 50-meter/yard pool with a smaller lap pool (about 1/2 the current size)  and also have a separate "leisure/play" pool. 

However, we have heard from many passionate voices in the community who have expressed strong support for the need for EQUITY and to have a full size 50-meter/yard pool as the replacement. 

We can have our 50-meter pool and... still can also have a leisure/play pool.

Many believe .. .Maintaining a competitive size 50-meter (or 50-yard) pool is Especially Important for our historically underserved youth and communities to have every opportunity to develop in this sport.

With a full-size pool, we still have opportunity to enjoy leisure swimming, swim lessons, pool play, cooling off, etc..

We value the diverse perspectives of the neighborhood.

We warmly welcome your thoughts and want to hear your ideas and concerns.

Together, we can ensure every voice is heard.
