Dear Neighbors,

While tonight's meeting is ostensibly about a Neighborhood Watch, D2 is prepared to answer questions in the latter half.  The new lieutenant, who's name escapes me, will be there.  For those unaware, our neighborhood is part of two police districts, 2 and 6.  The cutoff is 25th Street.

Please note that they may not be able to answer all the questions we have, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
  • How was D2 responding to the DV 911 call?
    • With cherries & berries, or were they driving leisurely to 32nd & Arapahoe until shots were fired?
  • Was there a D6 cruiser closer that could have responded to the DV call?
  • What was the time between the first 911 call for DV and Alex's murder?
Please consider what DPD is, and is not, responsible for. Attached is the suspect's criminal history.  Plea deals and dismissals are the responsibility of DA offices and the courts, not DPD.  However, he was arrested on 4th March by DPD for "Failure to Appear". I feel the police should answer the questions "what happened after the 4th March arrest" and "where is the suspect currently?"
