It seemed like selling tickets in 'black' is a very Indian thing, but a report by Tom McArthur and Paul Glynn, in bbc.com, says, "Ministers will announce the plan in to tackle touts and resale sites, which often offer music, theatre, comedy and sport tickets at well above face value."
Dua Lipa is reported to be among the music stars who last week called on the government to "stop touts from fleecing fans"
"Restricting ticket touts was one of the Labour government's election pledges, as fans complained of massively inflated prices for resold tickets," says the report.
In Mumbai, if a play or show became so popular that people were willing to pay inflated ticket prices, the performers would be flattered! In any case, the government would hardly bother to intervene!
