But this level. Oh boy, this fucking level. It is making me mad. And just because of stupid bullshit. Finding the genrators is fine. I know all the different locations by now. The the canisters? Fuck me! On a good run I always seem to miss the last one and cannot find it for the life of me.
But if I do, something else gets me. Either the battery runs low and I cannot defend myself anymore (really, impleting an enemy that you can't defend yourself from after a certain time?) Also, the light shining doesn't always work. Sometimes the fuckhead just runs straight at me from a mile away without a care in the world, though I'm shining my flashlight at him perfectly. Slender is easy. Slender is a fucking pussy. Give me 5 slenders. I would be okay with that. But taking that douche hockey mask freak and combining it with five added collectibles and low battery life? That is just terruble game design.
It is still bullshit and you need a good layout to beat it fast. One trick I discovered after beating the stage is that you can gather all six gas canisters without touching the generators (only the first you have to activate to open the gates). This gives to free time to explore and figure everything out. Haven't tried it myself but sounds like a good idea to try.
The route I followed is simple. Start the first generator and move left. Sometimes there will be a canister by the lockers. Check the second door on the left as sometimes a generator spawns at that position. Move up the stairs on the other side. Turn left and follow the path. A canister can spawn at the next corner. Look to your left and into a little room further left. I often found a generator at that point. Turn around and move south. Follow the hallway into a bigger room where you could also find a possible canister. Turn left and move down the stairs. While moving straight back south turn right to look into the hallway. Maybe you'll see a canister.
Go south into the second part of the big room and to your left can bew two generators on either side. Move back north a little bit und turn link. Don't even bother with the two rooms on both sides. I never found anything in them. On the other side of the hallway look to your lift. 95% of the time a canister spawned right in front of the two big containers. No go right up north. Turn left and follow the path. Look in all three room (or maybe two, not sure. Just check all) on the left. Canisters as well as generators can spawn here. At the big intersection turn right and into the big cargo area. Generators can spawn on the opposite side as well as to your left. Look out for a possible canister on the right in front of the containers.
Move south past the stairs and into the long hallway. The second corner spawns a canister sometimes. At the most south point of the map you often find one or two generators. Sometimes even with a canister. If by now you haven't found everything, go back to the stairs on the west side and look into both room on the second floor. This should cover everything. But you still need a bit of luck with the placement enemy behaviour.
I overcame this level on Hardcore by doing the same thing, picking up five fuel canisters before activating the second generator. Luckily on the run where I completed it, I found two generators side by side and three others in the very next room. All I had to do was turn right to return to the main hub and I was climbing the elevator. No Slender Man or Proxy sightings at all. Admittedly though this was complete luck and I struggled greatly before everything just lined up.
If you're still having trouble. Collect ALL 5 gas cans after turning on the first generator then remember the location of the other 5 and fill them up as fast as possible. Use your flash light for brief moments. Press Y to put it away and bring it out. Have fun!
