Changes to join policy

Hi

Due to increasing spam on the group I changed the join policy from
"Anybody can join" to "People can request an invitation to join".

I hope this will save us from spam in the future.

I would rather moderate the list. Then the posts must be approved
before beeing sent.
Or I don't don't if new users could be on a moderated list, so that
older poster wouldn't
need to have their post approved.

Not sure I understand you. If you take a look at group's setting
there's an option of having only new users being moderated. I have no
idea however what's the definition of "new user" on google's groups.

Why don't you like the policy "People can request an invitation to
join"? As there are very few new members it makes perfect sense to me
to have to accept only them and not to have to moderate all posts.
