Self-service, gantry, but also drive-through car washes all depend on correct and precise distribution of the water and washing chemicals. In this context, high pressures play a decisive role, making the washing facilities more economical to operate. Furthermore, sleek design is of prime importance because it allows the customer to offer a large number of washing areas. The block solutions by Brkert are simple to integrate in new or existing plants.

Do you need a tailor-made system for the distribution of water and washing chemicals when cleaning vehicles? Then our Systemhaus is the right place for you. We work closely with you to develop individual solutions that meet your specific requirements. Learn more about Brkert Systemhaus.

I suspect the answer is no, but I am not able to either prove it, or provide an example. In Katz and Lindell's book, it is only said that with a perfectly secret encryption scheme, the plain and ciphertext distributions are independent. But when I try to construct an example with a non-uniform ciphertext distribution, (using say, 4 plaintexts as a message space), I cannot devise a plaintext and key distribution such that the resulting ciphertext distribution is not uniform.

This is a "Just Do It" construction:
Choose [0 or 1] and [[bit then original output] or [original output then bit]],
modify the encryption algorithm to have it concatenate the chosen bit with the
original encryption algorithm's output in the chosen order, and modify the decryption algorithm
to have it remove the extra bit before applying the original decryption algorithm.

A distribution of the ciphertext depends on the distribution of the plaintexts. If you assume implicitly a uniform distribution on the plaintext, you automatically should get a uniform distribution on the image of the encryption function (which can be less than the ciphertext space, if you actually have an expanding ciphertext).

'Independent' might be the wrong choice of term there, because based on the plaintext distribution, the key distribution and some potential random coins (e.g. if you pad the ciphertext with randomness, and just ignore that part at decryption) and the scheme you will get a specific distribution.

I have a LTM VS with a pool of 40 nodes. The VS is doing SSL offload. The nodes consist of four IP addresses each serving 10 different TCP ports. The hardware is an active/standby pair of 8900s running 10.2.4 with up to date hotfix.

The user keeps complaining that the load is not being distributed perfectly evenly in Round Robin mode. What they expect to see is that the load balancing happens in perfect sequence. What they mean is if Node 1 gets a session, the next session should only go to Node 2. I have tried to explain the implications of iRules and CMP and other factors but they are not satisfied.

Quick thought on the use of refractometers for further study (if there is time/funds). It seems that a lot of the claims from the manufacturers are focussed on the consistency of extrations, and whilst this has been done before, some blind testing of this woukd be interesting to both check their claims but also see how it matches up with the data from the first test.

Probably a different study altogether but I imagine many trainers consider ease of learning plays a big role when teaching distribution. Distributing tool seems to eliminate the risk of burning the hand associated with practising the tapping method, often a discouraging factor for new baristas.

Hey Matt! Glad you like it. Gilberto has a very small Company in Brasil. Just drop him a line at bodn...@msn.com He speaks english.
He also makes excellent handgrinders. And dynanometric tampers. His craft is exceptional!

Another thought regarding distribution - vibration excites the particles and potentially splits them up. When the vibration stops, the particles settle in an evenly distributed fashion. Industry uses this technique for all sorts of things.

Also, get an opinion from a mathematical/statistics person because remember, your only going to be as accurate as your least accurate measuring equipment. Like, if you measure with centremeters, you can only accurate to +/- 0.5cm. Depending on the outcome, if you want to keep this scientific, then it may not even be worth all this work.
