  • ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS:
    • Nancy K. Miller, LISW, is a licensed social worker and therapist, founder of MYOB Therapy & Consulting Community, which aids individuals affected by the sex offense registry. With over a decade of trauma-informed care experience and 14 years as a registry-impacted family member, she offers a unique perspective on these challenges. Nancy provides therapy and consulting based on restorative justice principles and advocates for reform, focusing on healing and connection, particularly during difficult times.
    • Larry Menzie, LCSWR, is the Co-Executive Director and Founder of Queens Counseling for Change (QCC) and New York Counseling for Change (NYCC). With over 35 years of experience and an MSW from Columbia University, he focuses on treating individuals at risk of community violence. Since founding QCC in 2003, Larry has supported thousands and trained many social work students. He also leads initiatives to prevent sexual violence as President of the NYS Alliance for the Prevention of Sexual Abuse and Treasurer of the NYS ATSA chapter.

As the holiday season approaches, many face unique challenges, including feelings of isolation, loneliness, and trauma triggers. This discussion will explore the emotional and practical struggles associated with the registry and traumatic events, during fall holidays, as well as celebrations, birthdays, anniversaries, family gatherings.

We will also provide a space for audience participation, encouraging you to share your own experiences and insights through Mentimeter. Together, we can foster understanding, support, and practical strategies for coping during these challenging times.

We kindly ask for your support in promoting this webinar within your networks. Your outreach can help us reach a wider audience and foster meaningful conversations around these critical issues.

Thank you for your continued commitment to our cause. Together, we can inspire resilience and hope in our communities.

Warm regards,

Jesse Friedman, RAA Education Committee Chair
