At our next WAR room, we'll have the honor of being joined by Brittany Lee, the Founder and CEO of ProSay, a Wisconsin organization providing peer advocacy for those on supervision and reducing overdoses by preventing people from being reincarcerated.
Striving to grow through laughter and deep conversations when impacting the carceral system, Britt uses her background in strategic planning, leadership training, graphic designing and the legal system to train and educate leaders.
At Dream.Org, Brittany focuses on empowering emerging leaders to use their voices for systemic change through advocacy education, storytelling, and community-building. She is passionate about equipping people with the tools to navigate and transform policies that shape their lives.
The work that ProSay does is like none other. ProSay is not a reentry program. They are a pure advocacy group. They assist people as issues arise on supervision with their agent. They additionally assist individuals who are facing rule violations up to and including revocations. They offer a variety of trainings, including Know Your Rights on Supervision, How to File a Complaint, Know Your Rights on Supervision When You're Forced to Register, and Open Records Trainings. They also provide thriving plans. They assist people with co-building thriving plans to successfully navigate supervision for the time they are on it.
When she’s not working, Brittany is likely chasing down her kiddos or dog or cooking the next best dish for her husband. Being justice-impacted doesn't stop when working does, so she may also very well be reading statutes when up in the middle of the night with her young kids.
I hope you will join us for this important conversation!
