Hello,
We hope you will join us for a WAR Room Zoom meeting in 2 days on Tuesday, August 26th. See times above or below, and link down below.
In 2 days, we'll be joined by Sandra Keely, the founder of 3 Daughters and 1000 Sons, a St. Louis-based non-profit organization founded by Sandra Kay Keely, which works to reform the criminal justice system by focusing on family reunification, neighborhood revitalization, and economic freedom, with a specific focus on expungement services to help individuals clear their records. The "3 Daughters" represent Keely's own daughters, and the "1000 Sons" symbolizes the vast number of men affected by the criminal justice system, particularly in communities of color. The organization was founded after its Executive Director, Sandra Kay Keely, witnessed the devastating impact of mass incarceration on communities of color.
What they do:
Policy Advocacy:
They work to change laws and regulations to create a more just and equitable system.
Community Engagement:
They organize and participate in events to support their cause.
Record Expungement:
They assist clients with the process of clearing their criminal records, with a goal to expunge 1000 records.
Support Services:
They address other barriers to success by developing resources for career and housing.
