On the WAR room next Tuesday, we have the honor of being joined by Myriah Gibbons, who will be sharing her very personal story with us. Myriah is the victim of rape who has since become an activist. She cares deeply for all those affected by sexual violence and she is anxiously engaged in creating a more compassionate justice system which is effective at reducing sexual violence in a humane way for both those who have been harmed as well as those who have caused harm.
Myriah will talk about how she discovered the registry, why she believes that the registry is harmful to victims and does not promote community safety, and her current project which is creating a diversion program for sexual assault in Minnesota.
