Indivisible has many ideas on how you can help our community.  Here are some of the options discussed at the Nov 9 general meeting:
  • Local printer Dixon Graphics is printing immigrant support and ICE not welcome signs for free!
    • People are needed who are willing to speak to the manager of businesses to put up signs.
    • If you want to do this, email champaigncoun...@gmail.com about your interest.
  • There is a local organization known as CU Mutual Aid.  It needs volunteers to help get food to those in need especially during the failure of Trump to pay the SNAP benefits.  See CU Mutual Aid
  • Food & More is a collaboration between First Presbyterian Church of Urbana, Westminster Presbyterian Church, local wards of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, St. Peter’s United Church of Christ and the Disciples of Christ Community Church.  They need drivers who can once a month make some food deliveries to people in need.  The food is always delivered outside the building where the recipient resides.  If you are interested, email Marci at ma...@indivisibleil.com.
  • November 13 at 6:00-7:30pm at the IHotel is a RIFL (Responsibility in Firearms Legislation) town hallk; you can get a free ticket here: Reimagining Public Safety Town Hall: Champaign/Urbana Tickets, Thu, Nov 13, 2025 at 6:00 PM | Eventbrite
  • AT&T is the provider of mobile telephone services for ICE.  Nationwide protests have been organized to urge AT&T to terminate the services.
    • On November 16, at 1:30-2:30pm there will be a picket against local AT&T Stores.  They need 25 people for 1 hour for very specific protest request: DROP THAT ICE PROTEST!

That’s it for my report on the Indivisible Nov 9 general meeting.
