Please see the following email issued by Kimberlie Kranich of Urbana’s
Unitarian Universalist Church.
It’s another opportunity to participate in peaceful protests against the war in Iran.
Dear People of Faith (feel free to forward this message to others),
Peace be unto you and your family. I hope you are taking care of yourself. This email to you is one way I am caring for myself. I wish to be in community with you.
I invite you to participate in an inter-faith rally for military personnel who oppose war with Iran. Gulf War veteran, Meg Miner, from rural central Illinois, will stand with us as we appeal to the moral conscience of those active in the US military or considering joining the military. Meg once wrote a letter of support for an Urbana women who enlisted in the Army and successfully filed for conscientious objector status during the 2003 Iraq War.
We will be a peaceful nonviolent force demonstrating against our war with Iran. Your homemade signs are welcome. We will also have large, 2-foot by 3-foot printed signs available for your use that read:
GIs KNOW YOUR RIGHTS!
CONFIDENTIAL HELP
THIS VETERAN SAYS:
NO WAR WITH IRAN
ABOUTFACEVETERANS.ORG
NO WAR
These will be weekly rallies at the same time and location each Saturday in APRIL (so if you cannot join us on 3/21, join us in April).
If your church, mosque, temple or place of worship would like to co-lead one of these rallies in April with me, please let me know which of these Saturdays in April you would like to do so: 4/4, 4/11, 4/18, 4/25
In solidarity with you for peace and justice,
Kimberlie Kranich
