From the City Manager's blog. Check the hotline to determine which Sunnyvale fields are open or not.

Parks Winter Athletic Field Closures – Effective Dec. 1, all athletic fields will be closed for the winter and will reopen March 1, 2017. The fields will be receiving much needed rest and maintenance in the form of aerification, over-seeding, fertilization and irrigation adjustments. This practice allows the City to maintain safe, usable and attractive fields throughout the year. During this time, exclusive use permits will not be issued. There will be four designated drop-in fields available to the community and will be rotated on a monthly or as needed basis, they are however, subject to closure in the event of inclement weather. The Turf Hotline 408-730-7585 will be updated daily, including weekends with current field conditions and information on fields that are open for drop-in use. - See more at: http://sunnyvale.ca.gov/Newsroom/CityManagersBlog/entryid/753/city-managers-blog-december-5-2016.aspx#sthash.bmpZm3nG.dpuf

Thanks, Gary.  The Sunnyvale maintenance guy told me the gist of it last Tuesday when we were at Raynor Park.  If the Cupertino fields are closed, we will check the Sunnyvale hotline to see which Sunnyvale field is usable.

But for today, it's Creekside Park.
