Will be at 5:45am.

We will be going out in two mixed 8's. Which means we need Grace to show up, I'm not sure if she's on this list yet, but just check in to make sure she has transportation. If not, one of our spares will be coxing.

We will also be wet-docking. A couple of quick notes on wet docking:
- it means getting wet. Shouldn't have problems tomorrow, but when it gets cold, rowing with wet socks sucks. Usually, I'd just tuck my socks into my span, get in the boat, then once the coxswain directed us away from shore, put socks back on
- Which reminds me: NO SHORTS. or baggy shirts. Wear athletic clothing with span or long span. If you don't have any, your best pair of boxer briefs will do. I'm pretty sure I made someone quit this fall because I made him strip down to his briefs one day. I'm not proud of it, but I'd do it again in a heart beat. Sam Tobey learned his lesson all those years ago and you can ask him if you feel like it. I've never seen a seat do that before.
- Lastly, because the women are going at the same time, the docking area will be a cluster fuck. Factor in all of our new rowers this semester plus new swains, and you've got a really fun situation. The absolute best thing you can do is keep your mouth shut and do what you're told. Feel like speaking up and taking charge? Don't do it! It is the coxswain's job and only the coxswain's job to direct the boat. If they make mistakes, we will be the ones to fix it, not you.

Tomorrow will be about patience and focus. We need to maximize our time on the water and the sooner we can get out there, the better. A lot of this will be review for you. It's necessary. Be a team player and responsive to commands.

Body over pause for days!!

P.S. bring running shoes. The weather this week is historically unreliable. Wearing flip flops won't be an excuse not to do land exercises in the event the weather is bad. I've ran the res in flip flops before. Twice. Both times sucked. Running barefoot was better. Don't be dumb like me.
