Team,
First off great job at Row the Rockies this weekend. While everything didn't go off perfectly it showed us where most of our imperfections are, and we'll have 3 weeks to fix what we need to.
This week and going forward let's plan on practice at 5:45. Remember that yor 10k/12k's are due by 8pm.
Novices, looking forward there are a few things to address. We're now sitting at 3 novice 8's and five spares. As I stated at the start of the year this sport is not for everyone and I'm proud of that. If you are not enjoying it I would urge you not to continue. We'll practice at least another week in mixed lineups so you an learn some more technique.
One day TBD during the week of 14th we'll have a 6k test. This along with your 10k's, technique, attendance, and Tour De Frosh work will determine what boat you race in for Iowa. Your performance in Iowa will then determine the lineups for Wichita. Everyone will be guaranteed at least one race at each regatta, but the fastest may race as many as three times. If you'd like to be one of those keep putting in as much time as you can on the erg.
Varsity, keep in mind that Pairs Henley (based on weather) will start this Friday evening. If you have work or class after 4pm Friday please inform me. Lineup plans for Iowa will be taking the top 8 fastest for our 8. The top 4 fastest for our 4, and the 5th and 6th fastest along with the two slowest for the second 4. Everyone is guaranteed at least one race but again you could have up to three. The same criteria for selection applies as with the novices.
