All,

When you need to contact a coach regarding a potential excused absence, it is generally good practice to email the entire coaching staff in one go. This way all of us are in the loop, and if one of us happens to forget (we are human too), then we have the information still. If it something personal that you have already discussed with Adam or another coach, feel free to remind us, and keep the email general and say that you have cleared it with them.

Also, keep in mind that coaches need to be contacted regarding potential missed practices within a reasonable time frame (ie before 9 - 10 PM the night before) whenever possible. If it is an extreme situation, we can make an exception - as long as it isn't a habit. If you wake up in the morning feeling sick, you need to call a coach and make contact with them if you are able to. If you feel comfortable with it, I would suggest shooting a message to your coxswain as well.

The better you guys communicate with the coaching staff about excused absences, the better we can work with you and make accommodations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. All of our emails are below.
