CumulusRDF 1.1

Hi,

I've just wondering whether the 1.1 release will be out there soon. I have recently upgraded to Cassandra 2.0 and I realized that CumulusRDF only supports the Cassandra 1.X releases. Is there any deadline to release CumulusRDF 1.1?.

Hi Jg,

yesterday we had a quick meeting about v1.1 and, although I cannot tell you the exact day, we hopefully want to push out 1.1 at the end of the next week.

I am looking forward to see it. Congratulations for the efforts and great stuff this project!. We're working with Cassandra and moving things into ontologies. We hope to link RDF and Cassandra using CumulusRDF.

Wow, very cool! Other than a lot of improvements, in 1.1.0 we introduced a so-called pluggable storage module.
That allows you to use, as the name suggests, several kind of storages: at the moment we have two concrete and working implementations (Cassandra 1.2.x q0and 2.x) and we would like (for a future release) to push in HBase and SOLR too.

Hi Davide,
we're so sorry for this long delay...CumulusRDF 1.1 is basically ready...unfortunately we recently ran in a set of issues (I'm definitely the first on the list) and things became a bit complicated.

We scheduled a brief call in the next days for discussing, among other things, about 1.1. After that we'll let you know

yes ... despite the current build failing, I think that there is actually little work left open. We are in the process of rolling it out in August.

On the upside - I think waiting was worth it. I think Cumulus has improved a lot ...
