Hi everyone,

I'm new to Pegasus and I'm currently trying to install the package, however I'm running into some problems during the installation process. I've been following the instructions on the Pegasus site to install the package. Yesterday, I was able to install and run Pegasus properly. However, today, when I go to relaunch my code, I get the following error:

I get the error "ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'numba.experimental.structref'". Again, this error did not appear the first time I ran Pegasus code, only the second time. Is there a solution to this issue? Thank you very much!

Best,
Varun Suraj

One clarification: I installed Pegasus using the Conda instructions on the installation site. Thanks again!

Hi Varun,

What are the versions of numba and umap-learn packages in your conda environment?

Sincerely,
Yiming

Hi Yiming,

Thanks for your response. In this Conda environment, I have numba==0.53.1 and umap-learn==0.5.1. I believe these are the most up-to-date versions of both packages.

Yes, there should be no issue with these two packages' versions. Instead of keeping asking you the versions for multiple times, could you please send me the output of "pip list" command in your conda environment. This command returns a complete list of Python packages installed via pip in your conda. Thanks!

Sincerely,
Yiming

Hi,

This issue has been resolved. It was a problem with where packages were installing to. Instead of installing into my Conda environment, it went into user installation. I have fixed the issue, and am no longer getting the error. Thanks for your help.

Best,
Varun

Hi Varun,

Glad that you figured out yourself! And thanks for letting us know. Just one quick follow-up: by saying "user installation", do you mean that your packages were installed somewhere like "/usr/local" or "/usr", instead of where your conda environment lives?

Sincerely,
Yiming

Yes, that's exactly what I mean. Packages installed into the local installation rather than into the Conda environment. Again, thanks for your help.
