Pastor Sylvia preached 2 Sundays ago about the prayer of Nehemiah. “Lord, strengthen my hands.” Beth and Tory Powner need the strength of our cooking hands to prepare some meals in the coming weeks. Beth is having surgery on her October 9th. As most of you know, she struggles with Gastroparesis and can’t eat spicy foods (or much of anything). They don’t need a huge amount of food. If you could just add 2 plates to whatever you’re having on a night and get it to them, they would SO appreciate it.
Jill will take care of signing folks up. Just let her know what works best for you. She’ll have a sign-up sheet at choir tomorrow. We’ll start on the 9th and provide 3 meals a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday for about 3 weeks. Once that time is up, we’ll re-evaluate.

Take route 10 toward Enon. Turn left at Old Stage road.(Hardee’s is on the right. Racetrack Gas Station is on the left.) The complex is immediately on the left. Turn into complex , go 3 streets down to Tolbert Terrace, turn right, and drive to building 1900. They are 104, ground floor on right. Beth’s cell number is 586-0735.
