Cumbernauld Village Environmental Group

We have started up an Environmental Group in Cumbernauld Village to improve the look of the Village by carrying out environmental and gardening work. We are looking for new members or occasional volunteers to join us in our work in our small friendly group. The group started by planning the Village’s entry in this year’s Beautiful Scotland competition, and by weeding and planting flowers in the graveyard and other areas. We will soon be working on the next phase of activity on the Langriggs, by planting spring bulbs and planting up new flower beds. We’ll also be campaigning to encourage residents and businesses in the Village to put up window boxes and hanging baskets. So why not join our campaign?
