Hello everybody!
Things have been quiet around the traps it seems. Very few comments coming back to me apart from 'the trees are looking better'. However, the main reaasaon for this group was to allow everyone who wanted to let others know how things are in the patches to which they have access.
So please, let the group know (by replying to this message, not to me directly) how the grey box are looking in your 'patch'.
- Are they showing signs of recovery?
- How many (and what proportion) appear to have been permanently lost?
- Were ones you feared lost now showing signs of recovery?
- How fast has that recovery occurred - are they still at juvenile leaf stage of epicormic growth (broad, rounded leaves) or have they started to mature their canopy (more an ovate leaf)?
The answers to these questions will be important to guide further research work.
Thanks!
Greg
