As an addendum to the 2014-15 PRMFP Weed and Pest Funding Applications, if submitting an application please note the following points.

Please note that applications close at 5.00 PM on Monday 17 March 2014.

If you intend to apply and you are not a Crown reserve manager, obtaining a Crown Reserve Reporting System (CRRS)  login can take a 1-2 days, so, given the deadline for applications, you will need to set this up as soon as practical  in order to login to CRRS to make an application.

ASSESSMENT

The Sydney Weeds Committee will be asked to assess the applications received .

Please note the attached list prepared by the Sydney Weeds Committees “High Risk Weeds in the Sydney & Blue Mountains region List at February 2013 is considered still applicable.

Also, please note that Noxious Weeds - Weed Control Order 30 has been notified in the New South Wales Government Gazette of 28 February 2014 (folios 734 – 845).

Updated information, taking account of Weed  Control Order 30 appears to be included in the website NSW Department of Primary Industries(DPI) for Noxious weed declarations for each Local Government area.

While weed applications can address noxious and environmental weeds, I understand that PRMFP applications are expected to be more favourably considered where these address High Risk Weeds as per the Sydney Weeds Committees list and/or weeds , which are the subject of Weed  Control Order 30 and the recent DPI Noxious weed declarations for each Local Government area - Class 1 to Class 5, with preference  for say Class 1& 2 weeds.

ADDED MAP

Please note that a map/diagram indicating the name and location and extent of weed species to be managed  will best be attached to each application. Desirably the area(s) of each species to be treated  can be shown on the map and areas provided  in hectares or square metres.  The application affords an “Add File” feature where an attachment, such as a map of up to 2 Megabytes (or 2Mb) in size can be added.

You can also email extra material to PR...@lands.nsw.gov.au. However, in order that this material is matched –up with your application, your email  will need to include details and the application number automatically assigned when you submit of your electronic Application.
