Hi folks,

You may remember providing input to this flyer back in the dim past of 2012. It was one of the recommendations from the second Grey Box Psyllid workshop, which Greg ran last year.

Anyhow, this has finally emerged from the lumbering machine which is the bureaucracy.

While the dieback seems to have, well... died back recently, the long-term impact of the last season was substantial. Some areas I work have lost over 60% of formerly healthy trees, although this is not typical.  The Psyllids impact, ecology and origin are still largely unknown and this is certainly a long-term concern for the Cumberland Plain.

I strongly encourage you all to distribute the flyer and help get information on Grey Box Psyllid to the public and to practitioners. You have permission to distribute the flyer as you wish:
  • load it onto your agencies website
  • print out copies
  • put on your agencies front counter
  • email around to bushcare groups etc.

Apologies for the lengthy delays, and also that some later comments didn't get included. The HNCMA management have other matters on their minds at present :)

Please send any comments/requests etc. to my work email: Peter.R...@cma.nsw.gov.au

Cheers,

Peter Ridgeway
