I'll probably be bringing along a laptop, a microserver with Centos 6.2, and an extra monitor. That is just about it. Anything I've missed? Cables, mains adapters? Network hubs, wireless access points?

How about more helpers? If we have friends that may be interested in popping in for a few hours to help out, do they need to be registered first, or just turn up, knock three times and give the password.

Hi Jason,

Sounds a good setup to me. Apparently the wifi is being reconfigured
for the event but I will chase that and get back to you. The Tyneside
has a reputation of hard wiring has been a nightmare but I will ask
what can be done.

As for the popping in to help I has asked and someone (possibly me)
will report back soon.

...and I have an answer. Get them to sign up so we can have a badge
for them and we will add some more places. :-)

Headphones? Pillows? Slippers? Hip-flask?

Ah, walking around the cinema in comfortable slippers. That feels almost decadent. Not sure why though - it just does.
