Hello Damian:

 

I like your idea, but I'm not a person who wants to spend a lot of time online chatting about "culture in Barrie."   I don't  even want to comment on "culture" in general because I believe that it is an amorphous term that could include everything from Voodoo to Sharia Law to the food laws of the ancient Hebrews, to an opera by Rossini.

 

However, I've enclosed some observations on the necessity of Art in a civilization.   If this is useful, please feel free to use it wherever you wish.
