Dear CRN Members,
The Cultural Data Project (CDP), with input from the cultural research community, has updated and enhanced access and tools for researchers, including:
-An updated, free set of publicly-available aggregated data
-Tools to help researchers work with CDP datasets (CDP Codebook, FAQs about CDP data)
-Updated Policies and Fee schedule for accessing full (disaggregated) CDP datasets
All of these will help researchers and educators working with CDP data. The publicly-available data can be used by educators working in Nonprofit Administration, Arts Administration, or Public Policy who are seeking to bring real-world data into the classroom for students. The CDP Codebook will be especially useful to researchers analyzing CDP data with advanced statistics, GIS mapping, data visualization, and other software (including R, SPSS, SAS, Stata, ESRI, Open-Source GIS, Tableau, etc.).
All of the above may be accessed through:

Special thanks to members of the CDP Research Advisory Committee, who worked with the CDP staff for several months to help develop and revise the content you will see on the landing page. Their input was critical to ensuring the quality of the tools and to enhancing access to data for researchers. The Committee included Bryce Merrill, Jennifer Novak-Leonard, Ryan Stubbs, and Sally Gaskill.
If you have any questions about anything you see on the site, please contact me.
Best,
Christopher and Nick
