One more call for New Steering Committee Members!

I’d like to put out one more request for new CRN steering committee members. I recently joined the committee, and I’ve really enjoyed serving on it--we’re a fun and productive group!

The Cultural Research Network is led by a Steering Committee currently consisting of seven members: Kiley Arroyo (Cultural Strategies Council), Jean Cook (Future of Music Coalition), Bronwyn Mauldin (Los Angeles County Arts Commission), Bryce Merrill (WESTAF), Ian David Moss (Fractured Atlas), Brent Reidy (AEA Consulting), and Andrew Taylor (American University).
Kiley Arroyo, Jean Cook, Ian David Moss and Andrew Taylor are rotating off of the steering committee as their terms end 31 December 2014
. We seek to add four new steering committee members effective 1 January 2015.
The steering committee is a group of 7 network members who:
· Stimulate conversation and guide relevant discussion topics on CRN;
· Initiate and facilitate monthly “Virtual Study Groups” on topics of interest;
· Initiate and facilitate other CRN programming (e.g. virtual Pecha-Kucha, live meet-ups at conferences);
· Raise the visibility of and enthusiasm for the CRN within their own professional circles;
· Administrate and govern the membership list, providing oversight and dispute mediation as necessary;
· Respond to partnership requests and opportunities on behalf of CRN from outside organizations, foundations, conferences, agencies, educational institutions and others; and
· Envision, plan, and manage the activities of the CRN.
Steering committee members work toward the goal of fostering a forum valued by participants, seed relevant discussion topics, and lead by example by making substantive and thoughtful contributions. Steering committee members share responsibility for moderating content for the duration of their term.

We will accept applications from current CRN list members until 11:59pm ET October 10, 2014 at the crnmanager@gmail address; please do not post your application to the list. New steering committee members will be announced by November 15.
