Welcome to Cultivating Presence.

What is Cultivating Presence? Occasional and sometimes not so occasional (-:) "inspirational" messages; most often from other sources, sometimes from me; intended to re - mind us of the Presence that is already in us.

My intention here is to learn to cultivate presence more than it is to teach it. I've observed that what I teach best is what I most need to learn. I invite you to learn with me.

A true spiritual teacher doesn't teach you anything. A true spiritual teacher, if they can maintain a sufficient degree of presence, can help you, to ignite in you, a process of dissolving the blocks to the awareness of love's presence. Giving and receiving are interchangeable.

Why "Cultivating Presence"? Cultivating is like house cleaning and gardening; a job that is ongoing, never done; more of a calling than a job. It is surrender to the realization of the evanescence of Presence. It is not something that is ever going to get done. Presence? Impossible to define; those moments when everything feels right, we recognize our wholeness, completeness, connection to the infinite. We are on the path. Everything just is.
