I've tried deleting the shortcut and creating a new one and it worked once, not any more. I've also just tried uninstalling the app but it did not go away right away until I did a restart then reinstalled it - icon is still missing after making the desktop shortcut. There is a previous version dated (11.15.2015) in properties but I have not tried restoring to it - clicking open does nothing.
I create the shortcut by dragging the metro app on to the desktop. Netflix did get an update not too long ago since I can tell the UI is a little different. Other metro apps I create a desktop shortcut for do show their icon.
This AM I updated all my apps that required updating. These were square, facebook, 1 game, and netflix. After that I decided to update my IOS system as well ( I had a 2013 mini ) I did that. Then I decided to check the apps...everything worked except Netflix, it would not load. I dumped the app, and then re-installed it. After that it worked, but there was no app icon on the screen. The only way I could access it is through Applestore. It works now, but it has really bad pixelation. Before the picture was super sharp. OK...I call Netflix, the guy tells me to go to "low" on their picture instead of auto...it works better, but not like before. He told me that the new IOS contains a device that hides the app Icon after several installs, it is to prevent kids from uploading programs. He said I have to call Apple and have them walk me through the features to "turn off" this part of system. Anyone ? I feel like I want to just go back to my old system and old Netflix app...it worked perfectly....
if you are sure that restrictions have not been turned on - go to settings, general, reset, reset home screen layout. It will put the basic icons where they were when you bought the pad, and then tack on all loaded apps. see if that brings it back.
Hello, I have a brand new Spectre 360 notebook. I connected an external monitor to it and it loaded all my old apps from my old computer onto the new computer. I had all my icons on my desktop. Then I thought I'd increase the display size to make it a bit larger. In doing so, my desktop icons disappeared. I can only find one icon at the very top of the computer. I've been through all the suggestions the Virtual Assistant suggested, and nothing works. Can anyone offer any help? Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestions, but I've already tried them and the desktop icons are still missing, although they are listed on my taskbar. I never had this problem with my old computer. The problem is on my new Spectre laptop. Apparently, other people are having the same issue. Not sure if this is a Windows 10 glitch or a Spectre problem.
Windows 10 has a reset feature that repairs your computer by reinstalling the operating system. This feature is recommended for recovery because it reinstalls Windows 10 while either preserving your personal data and customizations or removing all your personal data.
Question three, however, remains unanswered, and may never be. But thanks to a hit TV show, anticipation for a possible reveal of what happened to Marcela Basteri, the missing mother of pop icon Luis Miguel, has become a pervasive topic of conversation on social media, radio, and news outlets throughout Mexico and much of Latin America.
