This quest becomes available after main quest The Beast of Toussaint. Visit and talk to Guillaume in the medic's tent, east of the Tourney Grounds Signpost. Once accepting the quest, he will ask whether you want training for the tournament. If you accept the training, Guillaume will lead you to areas to practice shooting, racing, and fighting training. After the training is complete or you choose to skip it, head to the inscription tent to choose an insignia, receive armor, and a name for the tournament. During this quest, you may be able to attain the virtue of honor for the side quest There Can Be Only One, to do so, you must chose Geralt of Rivia as your name.

Next up will be the horse racing round, which will including hitting dummies with your sword and shooting targets with your crossbow to increase your time.
