UW PCE Instructor openings for GIS Certificate

If anyone is interested in teaching GIS courses this fall, these could be good opportunities. The minimum requirements are a BS in a geography-related field plus ~5 years work experience with (sadly) ArcGIS.

There are a number of part-time instructor position openings available in the UW Professional & Continuing Education non-credit program Certificate in Geographic Information Systems

Certificate in Geographic Information Systems Examine geographic information systems and their diverse workplace applications. Learn how these systems are used to support research and decision-making in a wide variety of fields. www.pce.uw.edu

Specifically, we are looking for people to fill the following course positions in the in-person section of the program that is taught on the UW Seattle Campus in the GIS lab of the UW Geography Department:

Autumn 2024 Principles of Cartography & Thematic Design

             GIS Data & Database Design

Winter 2025  GIS Project Planning & Implementation  

Spring 2025   GIS in Practice in the Pacific Northwest
