CUGOS meeting tomorrow + student conference opportunity

Reminder that the next CUGOS meeting is tomorrow, February 18th at 6 PM in Bloedel Hall:

• I'll lead a brainstorming session about what you'd like out of CUGOS meetings, conferences, socials, and shared resources like Slack. Bring your ideas!
• Matt Kenny will share a workshop his team put together on Spatial Data Science workflows in the cloud, and some thoughts on best practices for running a Python workshop in general.

I'm also boosting a call for posters, presentations, and lightning talks from the Big Ten Geospatial Information Network 2026 Conference (April 17, online). You don't have to be a Big Ten member to join, and it might be a good opportunity for students to share their work. The application deadline is March 5th for talks, and March 23rd for posters.
