Hi all,
I just came across the news that NVIDIA has open-sourced a number of projects, including Python packages and some GeoAI-related tools. One example is:
NVIDIA Earth2Studio Earth2Studio GitHub Repository this is s a full stack of tools , plus these:
Atlas
https://huggingface.co/nvidia/atlas-era5
Earth-2 Checkpoints: StormScope-GOES-MRMS
https://huggingface.co/nvidia/stormscope-goes-mrms
HealDA — AI-based Data Assimilation on the HEALPix Grid
https://docs.nvidia.com/physicsnemo/latest/physicsnemo/examples/weather/healda/README.html
CorrDiff
https://docs.nvidia.com/nim/earth-2/corrdiff/latest/overview.html
The funny thing is that I had never
ever really heard anything about NVIDIA doing work in this area
before (sure its true that I am not erallz workign in the niche
nor did I look out for it),
so this came as a big of a surprise to me. But the more players
and open-source contributions in the Geo and also AI space, the
better — or not? ;)
Cheers,
Karsten
