I have just tried your example on lxplus, with ROOT 6.30.02 (LCG_105) and the latest nightly build (dev3). With the former, I reproduce the error you are seeing. With the latter, the error is not there and the checkBit column reports the correct values. Could you maybe also try yourself and confirm?

Currently this patch is only present in the master branch and the pre-release branch for v6.32.00
Thanks for your report. Thanks to it we discovered that the links to the zip version of the Win binaries of 6.30.06 were not correctly published on the release page Release 63006 - ROOT . That issue is now fixed.
I have had this laptop for more than two years. Every time there has been a driver update for the Broadcom Wifi Adapter my adapter quits working. The only driver that ever worked was 6.30.223.256. In January I paid a technician to reinstall the original driver. On Saturday there was an update and a new driver was installed. My adapter hasn't worked since, and the device manager won't let me rollback to the original driver. I haven't been able to find this older driver anywhere online. Can anyone help?
Thanks for your quick response. I did access the driver downloads that were available for my laptop on hp support. The one I am looking for isn't there. My laptop is an HP Envy 15 with Touchscreen. The product number is K2T35AV.
Go to the Windows Control Panel>Device Manager>Network Adapters>Broadcom 43142 network adapter>Driver Tab>Update Driver>Browse my computer for driver software, then at the bottom of that window>Let Me Pick from a list of device drivers on my computer>then choose the BroadCom 802.11n Network Adapter that is listed, and the driver version you want.

I tried to use a restore point today to undo Saturday's update, but the operation would not complete. I disabled my malware protection and Window's Security and used safe mode and it would still not complete.
My last option is to install an image of my disk that is about two weeks old. However, what will prevent an update from occuring and causing problems again. This has been going on for about a year and has caused many lost days of productivity and technician fees.
I downloaded both driver's. Setup failed on both of them. Setup starts and then aborts. The setup.exe files are there, so I tried to install each of them manually. I received a message that I already have the best driver installed. But it doesn't work, and if you look at my post from earlier, the events log states that installation was not complete.
